People or organisations become partners in the fairPla.net co-operative with shares of €250 each. This money is invested in sustainable energy projects - in the rich North and the disadvantaged South or East of the earth. The operation of the projects is in the long run expected to result in 2-3% dividend annually.

It is a good investment, as it yields a threefold profit:

• Poverty reduction and sustainable development in the South and East
• Environmentally friendly energy production in the North

Following this principle fairPla.net has already set up four solar power plants with a total capacity of more than 200 kWp, and we are engaged in a 1 MW solar power plant. 
Together with our Indian partner DESI Power (Decentralized Energy Systems for India) we provide a disadvantaged rural village in one of the poorest districts of India with electricity from a biogas power plant, thus facilitating small business, creating new jobs and foster a long-term and environmentally friendly development.

Another similar project in India and further solar power plants in Germany are intended for 2009.
