Climate change, global justice and social responsibility are on everybody’s lips today. However, there is still not enough action in these directions, especially in the economic sector. The global players of the big trusts and banks are looking for short-term revenue rather than long-term benefits for man and environment. The economic crises shows us the consequences quite plainly.

We urgently need new forms of economic activity and international cooperation: it is necessary to put up a sustainable emergency chute for earth and man instead of short-sighted support for mismanaged banks.

The renewable energies make it possible that today everybody can become an energy producer.

A historic chance: not only to protect the environment but to fight poverty at the same time. And a chance for mutual, sustainable and fair economic activities.

fairPla.net, the company run by citizens, makes use of the chances.

Klaus Töpfer, former German Secretary of State for environmental affairs, former executive director for UN environmental programme

"The climate change forces us to realize: Our planet does not lack a coalition against something, but an all-embracing coalition for the global struggle in favour of overcoming poverty, in favour of fair chances for  all human beings – our planet urgently needs a capable coalition for protection of environment.

Considering the exuberance in highly developed countries there is enough money. And there is also sufficient knowledge of possible solutions, the necessary technology is available.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference of Nairobi has clearly pointed out what is missing: Determined political leadership!

There is a lack of absolute determination, of consistant acting. There is only one way out of the marathon of negotiations on global conferences: to assume political responsibility.

Therefore I welcome a civil initiative like fairPla.net, where people from different countries do not hold out in talks and endless discussions, but also get to act.“
